    Director, Franklin County Office on Aging

    Chanda Wingo

    Chanda Wingo was appointed the Director of the Franklin County Office on Aging. Wingo, who will report to the Deputy County Administrator for Health and Human Services (HHS) Joy Bivens, will take over the role effective immediately.

    Chanda Wingo who joined the Franklin County Office on Aging in 2021, and previously served as the Assistant Director of Operations before taking over as the Agency’s Interim Director in May 2022, and Director in 2023. During her time as Interim Director, Wingo led the Agency to adjust its Sliding Fee Scale which was last updated in 2009 and had remained unchanged for 12 years. By aligning the Sliding Fee Scale to the 2022 Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver Special Income Level (SIL), the Agency saw a 15% increase in residents who could get Senior Options services for free. The Agency also surpassed its 2022 key performance indicators (KPIs), which included serving over 11,000 seniors through its Seniors Options program and more than 50,000 seniors through its grant partnerships; as well as completing over 2,000 home repairs, delivering over 1.2 million free home-delivered meals, and participating in over 320 community events. 2022 also marked 30 years since the first Senior Services levy passed in 1992. The levy, which was up for renewal in the November 2022 election, passed with 78% of the vote and allowed the Agency to continue to provide services that help Franklin County seniors age in place.

    Wingo has more than 12 years’ experience working for Franklin County Health and Human services agencies. Prior to coming onboard at the Office on Aging, she served as Deputy Director of Customer Service at Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services (FCDJFS) where she was successful in transforming, innovating, and improving service delivery for diverse populations of residents in need of support due to poverty.

    Vivian Turner

    Vivian Turner has more than 20 years of experience in the public and nonprofit sector, including the last 12 years with Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services, where she serves currently as Chief Administrator. Prior to being appointed co-lead for FCDJFS in 2022, she served as an Administrative Officer, Deputy Director and Assistant Director. She has played a seminal role in standing up numerous County-funded initiatives, from workforce development programs to the Franklin County RISE early learning initiative.

    Michelle Lindeboom

    Michelle Lindeboom has been with Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services for more than 30 years – the last two as Director. She began her career with the county as a case manager and worked her way up within the Agency, including stints as Center Director for the East Opportunity Center and Assistant Director. Director Lindeboom has also represented the Agency at the state level with the Ohio Job and Family Services Directors’ Association and with the state departments of Job and Family Services and Medicaid.

    Mayor, City of Columbus

    Mayor Andrew Ginther

    Mayor Andrew J. Ginther is serving his third term as the 53rd mayor of the City of Columbus, Ohio. He previously served on Columbus City Council from 2007-15, and was president of Council from 2011 until assuming the Office of the Mayor on January 1, 2016. Under his leadership, Columbus has been named “America’s Opportunity City” while setting new records for job creation and population growth.

    Mayor Ginther is uniquely committed to working with community, business, and faith and labor leaders to promote equitable opportunities for every Columbus resident.     A proud graduate of Columbus City Schools, Mayor Ginther was originally elected to the Columbus Board of Education in 2001 and re-elected in 2005 before joining Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Earlham College, studied abroad at the University of Ulster and Queen’s College in Northern Ireland, and taught at public schools in Belfast and Derry. He also completed consecutive internships at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta, where he taught non-violence and dispute resolution.

    Executive Director, CelebrateOne

    Daniel Tong

    Danielle P. Tong serves as executive director of CelebrateOne in Columbus Ohio, the city’s initiative to reduce infant mortality, improve maternal and child health outcomes, and reduce health disparities.

    She was appointed to the position in July 2023 by Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. As executive director of the public-private entity, Danielle stewards the organization’s five-year strategic plan with the goal to reduce the infant mortality rate by 2030 by elevating evidence-base practices and data-supported promising practices, advocating for policies and procedures that center families, addressing racism and biases that fuel disparities in birth outcomes for Black babies and birthing parents, and building an empowered and active coalition of community members and stakeholders to champion the work.

    Prior to joining CelebrateOne, Danielle served as Director of Capacity Building and Community Knowledge, at The Columbus Foundation, where she was a grantmaker and content expert on both nonprofit leadership and maternal/child health and reproductive health. She was also the liaison for a number of projects related to CelebrateOne.

    Danielle holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and is a graduate of the OhioHealth Administrative Fellowship program and holds an active social work license. She earned a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Social Work from Wright State University.

    Mayor of Westerville and Director of Marketing, Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence, Inc.

    Kenneth L. Wright

    Kenneth L. Wright began his second term on Westerville’s City Council in January of this year; and he was appointed Mayor for a two-year term. Previously, he served as Westerville’s Vice-Mayor in 2022 and 2023.

    Mayor Wright has been a Westerville resident since 2005, and an active member of the community since 2017.

    He is a native Washingtonian, and a “PK” (Preacher’s Kid). His father was a Baptist Minister and had a Doctorate in Divinity, and his mother had a Masters in Divinity and was an officer with the National Baptist Convention of Washington, DC and Vicinity. Together, his parent’s instilled in him a humble confidence, a strong work ethic, and a charitable spirit. Mayor Wright’s focus areas over the next two years include: addressing affordable housing in Westerville; broadening the City’s efforts with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging; and facilitating access to various programs and services to Westerville residents who may be financially challenged.

    Mayor of Upper Arlington, and Partner, Taft Law

    Ukeme Awakessien Jeter

    When Ukeme moved to Upper Arlington in the fall of 2018, she could not have foreseen how her daughter’s experiences as a new member of the community would inspire her deep involvement in the City she fondly refers to as the “Community of Choice” for her family.

    In 2021, Ukeme made history, becoming the first person of color to be elected to Upper Arlington City Council in its 103-year history, and in January of 2024, she proudly became the first person of color to be selected by her peers on Council to serve as President and Mayor for a two-year term.

    Professionally, Ukeme is a partner at Taft Law. Her practice focuses on helping her clients bring innovative products and services to market through negotiating and structuring intellectual property licenses, options, and related agreements. She thrives on tackling intricate challenges in the realm of product development and is a true catalyst for innovation.

    Beyond her career, Ukeme is a devoted mother to two wonderful children and a dog. She resides in the Greensview neighborhood of Upper Arlington, where she and her family relish in the city’s vibrant culture. They are often found at city events, exploring the parks, indulging in bike rides, engaging in spirited rounds of UNO and Charades, and even belting out tunes from the Hamilton soundtrack.

    Ukeme received a J.D from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell and a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine where she was a college athlete in track and field.

    Ukeme lives by the mantra, ‘Be the change you wish to see,’ embodying this in her leadership and advocacy.

    Luke Fedlam

    Luke is a protector, educator and national resource for athletes at all levels and phases of their career. With nearly 20 years of experience working with athletes, he leads Porter Wright’s Sports Law practice as a non-agent sports attorney. He approaches working with each athlete as an individual, but collaboratively incorporates their family and team of advisors into any opportunity or challenge. With a well-rounded approach to supporting each athlete, Luke brings the objective and balanced counsel that is essential to every opportunity.

    He regularly advises and counsels a wide range of clients – from high school student-athletes transitioning into college or professional sports, to college athletes managing the name, image and likeness (NIL) environment, to professional athletes and retired athletes as well. He diligently works with each level of athletes to not only educate them, but to help them create their game plan for life during and after sports.

    Luke’s experience includes:

    In 2015, Luke took the next step in evolving his daily work with athletes into beneficial educational programs by launching Anomaly Sports Group. Anomaly is a recognized industry resource in college athletics and professional sports that develops athletes for life and business opportunities outside their sport. With a shared passion for athlete protection and professional development, Porter Wright works in tandem with Anomaly as an educational resource by providing athletic departments with the essential protective education that helps to prepare their student-athletes for all of life’s opportunities (including NIL). Anomaly has worked with the NCAA and university athletic departments across the country, as well as multiple NFL teams, the NBA G League and other organizations in their player engagement programming.

    In addition, Luke serves as a co-executive director of the College Basketball Parents Association (CBPA), an organization focused on educating and providing resources to NCAA college basketball parents. He is also the host of the podcast, Protecting Your Possibilities.
